The Challenge
Southern Sheeting’s trade customers often order on the move - from job sites, vans, or mobile devices, but their legacy checkout wasn’t built for that. It was slow, cluttered, and lacked modern payment options, leading to a 79.5% abandonment rate and lost revenue.
Our Approach
We rebuilt checkout from the ground up using BlueFinch Checkout, integrated with Mollie for faster, more flexible payments. The new experience prioritised mobile performance and simplicity, featuring Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, PayPal, Trustly, and Billie for trade credit. Additional improvements like checkout memory, inline validation, and intelligent cross-sells made the process faster, smarter, and more forgiving.
The Results
- Checkout conversion up 38.7% month-on-month after launch - Overall checkout conversion +19% YoY, reaching 18.17% - 14% of all transactions via mobile wallets - Mobile experience ratings up from 20% to 75% “excellent” - Average order value uplift through contextual cross-sells
